About the Role:

Capital City College Group is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at the Alexandra Centre. As a key member of the ALS Team, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Work with small groups and as floating support to facilitate learning.
  • Differentiate and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of learners.
  • Collaborate with the ALS Manager and teaching staff to ensure effective support.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good general level of education with a GCSE English and Maths to C or above.
  • Experience in providing learning support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different support needs and modes.
  • An understanding of the College's policy on Equality of Opportunity and a commitment to promoting it.
  • Experience working with learners with learning/behavioural difficulties and disabilities aged 14 and up.
