Hays Health & Safety is partnering with a leading Manufacturing business to recruit a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to drive and maintain the highest standards of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and internal audits to identify and mitigate risks, and ensure the implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification, and support the development of a robust Environmental Management System.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, and ensure the identification and mitigation of potential hazards.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the organization, and ensure that all employees are trained and competent in their roles.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Health, Safety and Environmental performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- IOSH or NEBOSH certification, and a relevant Environmental qualification (e.g. IEMA).
- Proven experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role, preferably in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
