Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs HLTA to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Special Educational Needs HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a SEN school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children and young people with SEN to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
- Work closely with class teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Provide high-quality support to children and young people with SEN, including academic and personal support
- Communicate effectively with children, young people, parents, and carers to ensure seamless support
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SEN policies and procedures
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices in SEN support
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people with SEN
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced SEN school environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
