Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Support and Guidance Specialist to join our team at Tezlom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who require support and guidance in managing their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Developing Life Skills: Our Support Worker will develop domestic and life skills with service users, including housekeeping, shopping, cooking, cleaning, personal care, and other essential tasks.
  2. Case Management: The successful candidate will manage a caseload, coordinate assessment and intervention planning, and deliver evidence-based interventions.
  3. Community Engagement: They will support service users to attend college, work placements, and other activities, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  4. Access to Services: Our Support Worker will help service users access other services, such as healthcare and social care.
  5. Travel Training: They will provide travel training to enable service users to navigate public transport safely and confidently.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a support role, preferably in substance abuse services.
  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in a field such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users.
