Green Space Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Green Space Project Manager. As a key member of our Green Spaces team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of Green Space and Grounds Maintenance projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver Green Space projects and events in accordance with project planning principles, procurement rules, health and safety regulations, and the Council's financial and contract standing orders.
- Ensure that all projects are developed in conjunction with internal colleagues, residents, and partners, taking on board their views in developing final proposals for each project.
- Project manage the delivery of all capital projects from designing schemes, obtaining prices, applying for internal and external funding, to procuring services and project managing the delivery of schemes.
- Prepare bids to secure funding from a range of sources, both internal and external, to take projects forward in line with agreed plans.
- Support the Green Spaces Manager in the provision of advice and guidance on green space matters to all relevant stakeholders, including residents, users, members, and external organisations.
- Support the Green Spaces Manager in the delivery of the green spaces grounds maintenance contracts on land owned or managed by Elmbridge Borough Council, including parks, cemeteries, commons, recreation grounds, and associated works.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in a green space or local government setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal colleagues, residents, and partners.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of project planning principles, procurement rules, health and safety regulations, and the Council's financial and contract standing orders.
- Ability to prepare bids to secure funding from a range of sources, both internal and external.
