English Teacher Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our team at ERS Education Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students with significant barriers to learning in an Alternative Provision Secondary School in East London.

About the Role

This is a long-term, full-time position that requires a Therapeutic teaching approach, with a focus on English with QTS/QTLS, and the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 GCSE English. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching with emotional regulation and positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies, as well as a positive role model to support communication, with a sensitive, nurturing, and consistent approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English to students with significant barriers to learning
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with SEND
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary education team to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide emotional regulation and positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies to students
  • Build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
