Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Private Sector Housing Enforcement Officer to join our team at Sevenoaks District Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a housing professional to make a real difference in the lives of residents by enforcing housing standards and improving the conditions of private sector housing.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong understanding of housing legislation and experience in leading on enforcement actions, including attending court. You will also be comfortable using formal action where necessary, inspecting and licensing HMOs, and undertaking regular inspections of all HMOs.

Your Responsibilities:
This role involves assessing properties using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and interpreting the results to determine an appropriate course of action to deal with each hazard identified. You will also carry out effective day-to-day management and maintenance of the Council-owned Hever Road Gypsy and Traveller site and its facilities, as well as regular inspections of mobile park homes and park home sites in accordance with relevant legislation and model standards.

Salary Information:
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £38,000-£42,000 per annum, depending on experience.
