About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned payroll expert to take on a leadership role within our organisation. As a Senior Payroll Professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end service delivery for multiple client payrolls, ensuring accuracy of payroll data, and resolving any issues that may arise.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the entire payroll process, from initial data collection to final payment submission.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records, adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaising closely with clients to guarantee the precision of payroll information and address any queries or concerns.
  • Handling payroll-related tasks such as filing, setting up new employees, and updating HMRC tax codes.
  • Computing termination payments, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and adoption payments.
  • Reviewing automatic calculations by manually computing statutory entitlements.
  • Calculating holiday pay and entitlement.
  • Preparing and submitting P11Ds, P11d(b), and payrolled benefits documentation.
  • Handling salary/pay rises and determining back pay owed.
  • Ensuring timely submission of RTI forms, conducting NI checks, processing FPS and EPS submissions, and preparing Tax Year End statements.
  • Aiding the Payroll Manager and colleagues in process enhancements.
  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Contributing to system updates, parallel testing, migrations, reconciliations, and implementations.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge of payroll management, impeccable communication skills, and the capacity to work autonomously with minimal oversight. Additionally, they should exhibit high levels of precision, attention to detail, and excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
