Trainee Stores Coordinator

Job Summary
Filtronic PLC, a world leader in customised microwave and millimetre wave electronics, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Stores team as a Trainee Stores Operator. As a key member of the team, you will be trained and mentored to become familiar and competent with all functions relating to the operations of the Stores department.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect all deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Liaise with the Purchasing department to resolve delivery discrepancies and stock issues.
- Maintain detailed records of stock shortages and process requisitions efficiently.
- Update inventory management systems regularly, ensuring full lot traceability.
- Pick goods in line with shopfloor requirements, ensuring timely delivery.
- Organise the collection and despatch of goods through our 3rd party software.
- Ensure all goods are stored in appropriate environmental conditions, maintaining a safe and organised warehouse.
Requirements
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Minimum 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
