As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be the go-to expert for our OpenStack environment, managing everything from instance creation to end-user support. You will be responsible for ensuring the environment is reliable, consistent, and streamlined, leveraging tools like Ansible to keep everything running smoothly.

You will work closely with our engineering teams to provide the support they need to innovate rapidly and efficiently in their development and testing processes. Your focus will go beyond maintenance, as you will be fully responsible for the environment's health, performance, and scalability.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • SC Clearance is required to be active or obtained before joining.
  • In-depth knowledge of core OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Cinder) and extensive experience with the Ceph storage platform.
  • Proficient in deploying and configuring OpenStack environments using automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Advanced expertise with Linux OS, particularly RHEL, with strong command line and scripting skills (bash, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Skilled in provisioning, configuring, and managing virtual machines and containers within OpenStack.
  • Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools to ensure service continuity and expertise in security best practices for maintaining OpenStack platforms.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent customer service, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Benefits Package:
  • Base salary: Up to £80,000 (DoE)
  • Annual Bonus: Up to 21%
