Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team as a Bookkeeper and Financial Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support business planning.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review as needed.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within the accounting field.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, account analysis, budgeting, and general accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player who communicates effectively with colleagues.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards is preferred.
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance is an advantage but not mandatory; relevant certifications are a plus.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) matching and paid time off.
