Job Title: Principal C&I Engineer

Location: Manchester

Contract: 12 months

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Principal C&I Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality control and instrumentation engineering solutions for process plants and facilities across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to projects under a well-established Master Service Agreement, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of C&I engineering tasks.
  2. Engage in all project phases, from conceptual studies to detailed design, providing expertise in control and instrumentation engineering.
  3. Develop and manage C&I engineering deliverables, including P&ID development, sizing of flow devices, control valves, and relief devices.
  4. Collaborate with Client Engineers and Project Management to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication.
Requirements:
  1. Proven expertise in instrumentation design for medium to large capital projects, covering concept through start-up.
  2. Significant background in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Oil & Gas sectors, with experience in hazardous area instrumentation and mechanical package instrumentation requirements.
  3. Excellent proactive communication skills, with experience in liaising with Client Engineers and Project Management.
  4. Familiarity with design tools, techniques, and project execution methodologies, including electrical protection methodologies.
  5. Expertise in field instrumentation, analysers, DCS, PLC, and SIS systems across the lifecycle.
