This role is with a global technology company renowned for developing innovative software solutions, cloud platforms, and security tools that are used by organisations worldwide to manage and protect their digital environments. Job Summary:

As an SME of the Defender suite of security products, you will play a pivotal role in assisting enterprise customers with the deployment, adoption, and optimisation of security solutions such as identity protection, endpoint security, email and collaboration security, and cloud application protection. Your deep expertise in the Defender suite will enable customers to secure their environments, implement best practices, and realise the full value of these security tools as part of a dedicated customer enablement programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer engagements for the Defender suite, providing expert advice to improve security posture.
  • Offer guidance on deployment strategies, configuration, and operationalisation of Defender products, including identity, endpoint, email, and cloud security.
  • Recommend best practices for optimising Defender solutions tailored to specific customer environments and industry standards.
  • Work closely with customers to identify security threats and implement solutions using the capabilities of the Defender suite.

Solution Implementation:

  • Assist customers in deploying Defender technologies, including setting up monitoring, alerts, and reporting.
  • Help design and implement security architectures aligned with industry security frameworks.
  • Configure and integrate Defender solutions across hybrid cloud, on-premises, and cloud-native environments.

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues related to Defender products.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting for performance, functionality, and integration problems across the Defender suite.
  • Work with internal support teams to resolve escalated cases quickly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to customers.

Security Optimisation:

  • Review customer security configurations and practices, recommending changes to align with Zero Trust and other security models.
  • Conduct security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and suggesting remediation through Defender's capabilities.
  • Assist customers in monitoring and responding to security incidents by configuring advanced threat detection, automated responses, and incident management workflows.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise security products, specifically the Defender suite (identity protection, endpoint security, email security, and cloud security).
  • Proven experience in deploying, managing, and optimising security solutions in cloud and hybrid environments.

Communication & Customer Engagement:

  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to distil complex technical details into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead workshops and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both customers and internal stakeholders.
