About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Fellow to join our team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing an anti-racism framework to address palliative and end-of-life inequalities related to racism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with communities and stakeholders to co-develop the anti-racism framework
  • Conduct high-quality research using qualitative methods, including focus groups, interviews, and ethnography
  • Synthesise relevant national and international anti-racism and cultural safety frameworks
  • Report and academic paper writing, and contributing to future funding applications
  • Attend conferences and other events to disseminate findings and engage with policy and third-sector organisations

Requirements
  • Experience of organising and conducting research in a community setting
  • Experience of project management
  • Extensive experience of using multiple qualitative research methods
  • Extensive experience of analysing qualitative datasets and writing up the findings
  • An academic track record of peer-reviewed publications
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience of developing, implementing, and evaluating health-related interventions
  • Relevant research experience in the field of health inequalities, racism, discrimination, and/or palliative and end-of-life care
  • Experience of patient and public involvement in research, particularly of working with diverse ethnic and socially disadvantaged communities
