Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair fire and security systems, including fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and other related equipment.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' premises to determine the most suitable fire and security solutions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and provide expert advice and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire and security regulations and standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fire and security systems to identify any faults or issues and take appropriate actions to resolve them promptly.
- Respond to emergency callouts and provide timely troubleshooting and repairs to minimize system downtime.
- Complete accurate documentation, including service reports, installation records, and equipment logs.
- Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging technologies in fire and security systems to enhance your knowledge and expertise.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Always adhere to health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer, with a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm, intruder alarm, access control, and CCTV systems.
- Thorough understanding of fire and security regulations, codes, and standards.
- Proficient knowledge of various fire and security system manufacturers and equipment.
- Sound technical skills in fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs of fire and security systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Full driving license.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire and security systems installation and maintenance are preferred.
- Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE.
- Call out rota 1 in 7.
- Opportunities to earn bonuses and commission.
- Working hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm.
- Overtime paid at time and a half.
- Company vehicle provided and can be used for private use.
- Opportunities for progression and also further training.
