About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our engineering consultancy division, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical projects within the water sector, with a focus on pumping stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hydraulic calculations and pump selection for pumping systems
  • Design and develop pumping systems and pumping station layouts, including pipework and valving arrangements
  • Produce equipment specifications and datasheets from process requirement specifications and P&IDs
  • Review and input to P&IDs
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings
Requirements
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE)
  • Several years of postgraduate experience in the water sector, with a focus on pumping stations
