Mobile Plant Operator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at SUEZ. As a Mobile Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading a variety of different types of vehicles such as curtain sided vehicles, shipping containers and bulk haulage walking floors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
- Direct customer's vehicles to the various disposal areas and assist them with off-loading as required.
- Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Assist Production staff with their duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
- Contribute to lean and 5's activities across the site in order to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
- Work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation.
Requirements
- We are ideally seeking an experienced plant operator, who holds the relevant CITB/CPCS/NPORS certification or equivalent, but for the right candidate training can be given.
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
