Job Title: Freelance Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a freelance basis. The successful candidate will be working with one of the UK's leading main contractors on a site in North Lancashire.

About the Role:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing a range of commercial aspects, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and management of subcontract works packages through to final account. This is an ongoing project that has been in progress for approximately a year and is expected to finish in 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage commercial aspects of the project, including procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Manage subcontract works packages and ensure timely completion.
  • Minimise risk, cost, and maximise value by cost checking and analysis of labour, plant, and materials.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a degree in BSc Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent experience/memberships. They should also have construction industry experience with a main contractor in a similar role.
