About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join our team at Rec Sense Recruitment. As an Internal Audit Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in managing the Internal Audit team and clients to ensure professional, timely, and added-value delivery of complex technical Internal Audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Assist in managing a range of clients, including building relationships with senior client contacts, and overseeing the team to ensure strategic and operational audit planning and delivery.
  • Risk-Based Internal Audit Strategy: Assist in preparing Risk-Based Internal Audit Strategy for a selection of clients.
  • Internal Audit Assignments: Manage, perform, and control more complex internal audit assignments, producing high-quality written reports on work undertaken.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise team members to ensure they produce reports of a similar standard, and represent the Firm in audit matters as required.
  • Project Management: Project manage to achieve quality, effectiveness, and efficiency when undertaking activities to an agreed timescale and budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Carry out the Quality Assurance review of working papers and draft reports to ensure compliance with the Internal Audit Manual.
  • Reporting: Prepare progress and annual reports for Audit Committees.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise more junior team members on individual assignments, providing technical audit guidance and training as required.
  • Client Relationships: Build relationships with clients and identify potential additional work opportunities at existing clients.
  • Ad Hoc Research: Undertake ad hoc research projects, and ensure client data is handled securely in accordance with the Firm's and client's data protection procedures.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualification: Professionally qualified
  • Internal Audit Experience: Proven Internal Audit experience
  • Driving Licence: Driving licence
  • Communication Skills: Confident and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Presentation Skills: Developing presentation skills
  • Commercial Awareness: Building commercial awareness
  • Technical Knowledge: Good technical knowledge on both the internal audit process and relevant sector
