At Listgrove Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Fluid Management business line, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and introducing sealing solutions and polymeric valve products.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead design validation and qualification testing, planning research and development efforts, and managing sub-contracted resources.
- Collaborate with internal and customer engineers/technical teams to optimize material and design elements for sealing conditions.
- Work closely with the R&D team to support developing new materials and formulations.
- Conduct comprehensive design validation activities for valves, including stress calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Manage all aspects of product life, including factory awareness of customer feedback and requirements.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a related design or technical field; Project management qualifications a plus.
- Demonstrable understanding of sealing design parameters such as temperature impact, friction, closing force, load direction, and physical/mechanical properties.
- Excellent understanding and experience of engineering design, modelling, and simulation software, such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Experience in seal designing, material selection, and seal testing is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude, ability to utilize measuring equipment (i.e. dial calipers and micrometers).
- Demonstrable effective project management skills.
