Mental Health Practitioner Job Description

Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner Specialist

Location: St Helens, North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team, you will be responsible for providing intensive home support to service users as an alternative to hospital admission.

The successful candidate will have experience in mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and working with individuals with complex needs. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Salary: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum pro rata

Job Requirements:

  • Assessing care needs and developing individualized programs
  • Providing therapeutic interventions and home treatments
  • Liaising with inpatient units and completing gatekeeping for admission requests
  • Participating in a 24-hour roster system and rotating shifts
