Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Patient Access management team as a Team Leader. This is a key leadership role that will play a crucial part in the development of our modern and patient-focused service.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Outpatient Reception Department at Amersham Hospital, as well as the Chalfont Community Reception. They will work closely with peers across the Trust to provide an efficient and effective administration service to our patients and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the Outpatient Reception Department and the Chalfont Community Reception
  • Working closely with peers across the Trust to provide an efficient and effective administration service to our patients and clinicians
  • Ensuring that staff adhere to the Patient Access Department standard operating procedures
  • Providing cross-cover for other Team Leaders across the function
  • Attending meetings relevant to their role or as requested by the Access/Site Managers

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good standard of education, including GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Previous experience of leadership and operational management of performance targets within a healthcare environment
  • Excellent customer care skills and experience of working within a customer-facing environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours and across multiple sites
