Role Overview

The Neurodiversity Family Hub Ltd is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Play Worker SEND. This role is part of our service in the Family Hub, linked to an after-school club for children and young people with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate the participation of neurodiverse individuals in after-school clubs on Thursday evenings, providing a safe and inclusive environment.
  2. Offer one-to-one support and ensure the physical, social, and emotional welfare of each child, fostering their growth, self-esteem, and independence.
  3. Engage with young people with special education needs and difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), and provide tailored support to meet their needs.
  4. Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure a family environment is maintained, and provide opportunities for them to attend and stay with their children as needed.
  5. Contribute to the overall success of our after-school club, making a positive impact on the lives of young people with diverse needs.
