As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the manufacturing facility by maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical and mechanical production machinery and equipment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs with a strong focus on electrical systems to prevent equipment failures.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health & Safety regulations, particularly regarding electrical safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical and mechanical maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and work completed.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong emphasis on electrical systems, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong electrical skills, including fault-finding and repair, complemented by mechanical maintenance capabilities.
  • Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance, with an electrical focus or equivalent.
  • Degree: A degree or advanced certification in Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work shifts
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
