Graduate Mental Health Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team on the Children's Ward at QEH hospital. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be working closely with children and young people who require support with their mental health and wellbeing.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals looking to transition into a career in mental health. You will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and collaborative environment, while contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to patients and their families.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with young people. Previous experience of working with children or adolescents is desirable, but not essential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist support to children and young people experiencing mental health issues.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-standard evidence-based care and treatment.
- Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate care using a family-centered approach.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for young people and families admitted to the ward.
Person Specification:
- GCSE/O level English or equivalent.
- NVQ Health Care.
- Significant experience in acute hospital settings or clinics.
