About the Role:
GSL Education is seeking a skilled Drama Educator to join our team at one of our client schools in Sheffield. As a Drama Educator, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the art of drama, fostering their creativity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that cater to diverse abilities and learning styles
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Develop and nurture students' confidence, communication skills, and teamwork through practical drama activities and performances
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular drama clubs, productions, and events
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential
- Demonstrated experience teaching drama at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum
- Passion for drama education and a commitment to inspiring young people
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- A deep love and understanding of theater and performance arts
