About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional service to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Wash, dry, and store crockery, cutlery, and glassware to a high standard.
  • Operate the plate wash and pot wash machines, and perform daily maintenance tasks.
  • Clean the kitchen to a high level of hygiene, including sanitizing surfaces, sweeping the floor, and ensuring the removal of rubbish on time.
  • Assist in cleaning the front and back of house when required.
  • Accept deliveries and ensure goods are correctly stored and comply with health and food safety regulations.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Checklists.
  • Report any broken equipment or items not considered safe to the Senior Chef on duty.
  • Wear clean, suitable uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Keep staff and work areas tidy, safe, and report any hazards, accidents, or damage to management.

Requirements:

  • 6 months' experience in a kitchen similar role.
  • Good communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and pressurized environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and also independently.
  • Ability to communicate and follow instructions.
