Responsibilities

  • Design high-quality analogue and digital circuits for client projects at all stages within the product development lifecycle, from feasibility through to manufacture.
  • Contribute to the electronics hardware development within multidisciplinary projects, understanding how electronic requirements are derived from the system architecture, in collaboration with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Interact with clients to plan projects, identify and formalise design requirements, implement, test, and ultimately hand over finished designs.
  • Drive integration, issue resolution, and verification activities at hardware and subsystem level.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of the full product development lifecycle of electronics design.
  • A hands-on passion for designing both analogue and digital circuits.
  • Passionate about learning new electronic technologies.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills.
  • First or 2:1 degree, or postgraduate qualification in electronics, engineering, or a related subject.

Additional knowledge and skills beneficial to this role

  • FPGA hardware design experience, including VHDL/Verilog programming.
  • Simulation of designs using Spice and/or RF simulators.
  • Experience in motion control (actuators and sensors) systems would be advantageous.
  • RF design, test, and compliance to 6GHz would be advantageous.
  • Embedded C/C++ software design experience.

You will be based at our Sagentia Innovation offices in Harston, Cambridge, with opportunities for short travel to client sites in Europe or the USA. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment working within a team who solve a variety of challenges from different industries.
