Your Role

As an Asset Maintenance Specialist, you'll play a key role in managing engineering assets, ensuring they meet our high standards. You'll work closely with senior colleagues, gaining experience and knowledge that will prepare you for senior engineering roles within Network Rail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspecting and assessing engineering assets, adhering to railway group and Network Rail standards.
  • Monitor trends in maintenance work, asset condition, and failure precursors to inform decision-making.
  • Evaluate inspection and assessment outputs to develop renewal and repair proposals.
  • Provide technical support to deliver Network Rail's goals and objectives.
  • Proactively seek knowledge and skills through on-the-job training, formal courses, and professional development.
  • Prepare regular reports on training progress for review by mentors and supervisors.
  • Pursue core and specific objectives as part of your approved training scheme.
  • Maintain a personal development plan and records of initial and continuing professional development.

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Initial experience in NR Asset Management.
  • Understanding of relevant policies and standards.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.

This salary estimate is based on industry standards for similar roles in the UK.
