Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing routine maintenance tasks, undertaking repairs, and performing various practical duties. Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing general repair and maintenance work on and off site;
  • Ensuring efficient response to maintenance activities and failures;
  • Carrying out emergency tasks requested by Line Manager/Supervisor;
  • Undertaking maintenance work related to hotel premises as required by Line Manager/Supervisor;
  • Safely disposing of hazardous waste products;
  • Liaising with external contractors regarding small reactive projects in the absence of Line Manager/Supervisor;
  • Managing the plant room to ensure it remains in good order and free from defects;
  • Active management of carpentry stock and accurate record keeping for ordering purposes;
  • Participating in Pro-Active Periodic Maintenance (PPM) across the property.
Essential Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge and experience in carpentry and joinery;
  • Understanding of current Health and Safety regulations;
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • A team player with the ability to work independently;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • A flexible approach to working and commitment to delivering high levels of customer service;
  • A positive and helpful attitude towards work and colleagues;
  • A willingness to learn and adapt.
