About the Role:

The Senior Tech Business Analyst is a key position within the Operations and Technology Chief Information Office Business area at Citigroup, Inc. This role is responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and understandable way, driving efficient and scalable solutions that deliver value across the bank.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of software development lifecycle procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements.
• Analyze business client needs, derive test cases, understand, and document their use case.
• Resolve problems by translating business requirements, identifying trends, and defining scope to inform technical solutions.
• Analyze large sets of product reference data across Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Structured Finance securities from varying sources.
• Define and design enhancements to the system, business processes, and process automation utilizing best practices and industry standards.
• Consult with users and clients to troubleshoot complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes and systems.
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
• Foster communication between business leaders and IT stakeholders, facilitating exchange of ideas/information in a concise and logical manner.
• Provide reports, metrics, and presentations to inform business users.
• Test systems to ensure projects meet requirements and identify system problems to develop solutions based on analyses.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
• Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and work as a team to improve efficiency of delivery, performing other duties and functions as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, Inc., its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in the industry in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Financial Markets.
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
• Excellent analytical skills, communication, and presentation skills with an ability to tailor delivery to the required audience.
• Proven problem-solver with the ability to work under pressure, approach work methodically, and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
• Experience in data analysis with knowledge of databases.
• SQL knowledge is a must.
• Ability to work independently and in a team across levels, regions, and functions, with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives.
• Able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Experience of partner management and influencing skills.
• Microsoft Office skills - Primarily Excel.
• Knowledge of the various stages of Software Development Lifecycle and knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards.
