About PRS Data Centre Facilities Technician Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Facilities Technician to join our team at PRS. As a Data Centre Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various data centre systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair various data centre systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, and control and monitoring systems.
- Provide daily assistance to senior technicians, including reading blueprints, conducting tours of systems, and assessing their working order.
- Manage the uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems.
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data centre facilities systems and equipment.
- Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new electrical equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage distribution.
- Experience with test equipment, electrical devices, sensors, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate with contractors and specialist service providers.
