About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer - Sprinkler Systems Specialist to join our team at Integral UK. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing sprinkler systems for various sectors, including fit-out projects, shop units, and alteration projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop the design of sprinkler systems through coordination with client representatives and other service contracts.
  • Contribute to the design programme by monitoring it against the construction programme and specification requirements.
  • Issue all completion documents and certification.
  • Obtain necessary information from relevant parties for the preparation of fully designed working drawings.
  • Attend site meetings independently to discuss design matters.
  • Prepare complete working drawings in accordance with design codes, including hydraulic calculations.
  • From design drawings, list off materials for procurement, estimating of variations, and schedule of rates.
  • Forward drawings and quantities of materials to suppliers and subcontractors for procurement purposes.
  • Other activities as instructed by the Project Manager or Design Manager.
Requirements
  • Experience in a design engineering role within the sprinkler industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with LPC BS EN 12845 rules.
  • LPCB Intermediate qualification and LPCB Full Hydraulic Calculation qualification.
  • Experience and proficiency in using Autocad 2D.
  • Revit 3D experience.
  • Experience and proficiency in Full Hydraulic Calculation software, ideally Canute.
  • Knowledge of Factory Mutual Standards.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards.
  • HND or Degree qualification in a construction/engineering design-related topic.
  • Successful, positive, and professional communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Organisational skills, time management, and ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Active problem solver with ability to utilise resources.
  • Demonstrates a 'can do' attitude and works successfully under minimal supervision.
