Job Title: Director of Events

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Events to join our team at Bryn Mawr College. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting event space to achieve revenue goals and maximize exposure to potential clients in the region and to the events community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and oversight of event space rentals and events
  • Event scheduling, planning, and execution
  • Client services, including event coordination and problem-solving
  • Load-in, event setup, and break-down
  • Event monitoring and problem-solving
  • Event budget management and tracking
  • Liquor inventory management and ordering
  • Facility rentals and events department budget management
  • Event logistics and day-of-event support
  • Client follow-up and feedback
Requirements:
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED, bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 3-5 years relevant experience with event sales, coordination, management, execution, and/or planning
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Computer skills for using events management software, Altru, MS Office, spreadsheets, and e-mail
  • Basic accounting skills and budget management abilities
  • Knowledge of risk management and legal liabilities
  • Good networking skills and ability to build relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Ability to regularly work evenings and weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with managing a liquor license and liquor inventory
  • Food safety certification
  • RAMP certified bartenders
