Nurse Practitioner for Substance Abuse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in addressing substance misuse issues in our community. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with service users, families, and stakeholders to develop effective partnerships and deliver personalized care.
About the PositionThis is a full-time position requiring a first-level registered nurse with recent relevant post-qualification experience and a current PIN. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of harm reduction principles, health promotion strategies, and be able to develop therapeutic relationships with individuals who use substances.
Main Responsibilities- Undertake comprehensive health assessments, identify health issues, and refer service users to primary or secondary healthcare as needed.
- Develop and implement harm reduction strategies, including education and health promotion activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with UK guidelines and CGL clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care and support.
- A first-level registered nurse with recent relevant post-qualification experience and a current PIN.
- Strong understanding of harm reduction principles and health promotion strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with service users, families, and community groups.
- Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 28 days paid holiday (plus bank holidays), contributing pension scheme, and annual reimbursement of your NMC fee.
