Are you a sports graduate eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with additional needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds? We're seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Specialist Teaching Assistant, focusing on sports within SEN provisions in Bradford.

Role Overview:

As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the educational and physical development of children with special educational needs and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Delivering Tailored Learning: Assist in designing and delivering tailored lessons that integrate sports and physical activities, tailored to meet the unique needs of each child.
  2. Providing Individualised Support: Offer one-to-one or small group assistance, focusing on helping children with additional needs or those from disadvantaged backgrounds to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  3. Leading Inclusive Sports Activities: Organise and lead adapted sports sessions and extracurricular activities that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and confidence-building, ensuring all children can participate and benefit.
  4. Collaborating on Inclusive Events: Work with colleagues to plan and implement inclusive sports-related events, such as adapted sports days, tournaments, and fitness challenges, creating a supportive and enriching environment for all students.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  1. A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
  2. A genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with additional needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  3. Previous experience working with children with SEN or from disadvantaged backgrounds is highly advantageous.
