We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team as a Workshop Service Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering to work on a wide range of powered access equipment, including booms and scissor lifts.

About the Role

As a Workshop Service Engineer with Nationwide Platforms, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of powered access machines to ensure they are safe and ready for use by our customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Location Service Manager in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region.
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot, ensuring compliance with manufacturer's specifications and regulations.
  • Repairing machines at depot or on site to manufacturer's specifications and company policy.
  • Completing planned maintenance activities, including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard.
  • Handing over machines to customers and familiarising them with safe machine operation.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant general engineering qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, and diagnostics fault finding.
  • A mature outlook and the ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure.

You will also need to understand the importance of excellent customer service and be able to act as an ambassador for the company.
