About the Role

As an R&D Tax Consultant, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients navigate the complex world of R&D tax incentives and reliefs. Your expertise will be invaluable in identifying opportunities for our clients to maximize their tax savings and minimize their tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with clients and intermediaries to gather information and document R&D undertaken
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of clients and intermediaries, providing exceptional service and support
  • Document and analyze client R&D expenditure, identifying opportunities for tax savings
  • Assist in the drafting of technical and financial reports for submission to HMRC
  • Provide detailed technical and financial reports to HMRC, ensuring compliance with all regulations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and intermediaries, providing exceptional customer service
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in R&D tax legislation and regulations, ensuring our clients are always compliant
Requirements
  • Either a degree, Master's, or PhD in a relevant field, such as science, engineering, or technology
  • Strong client-facing skills and experience, with the ability to discuss complex tax matters in a simple way
  • Excellent written and numerical skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and documents
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, with a strong desire to build and maintain a portfolio of clients and intermediaries
  • Interest in becoming an experienced adviser in a niche area of UK taxation
