Job Title: Wireless Test Technician

Join TÜV SÜD as a Wireless Test Technician and contribute to the provision of a Wireless testing service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing RF (Radio Frequency) testing on a wide range of IoT Wireless technologies, including WLAN 802.11, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Cellular (GSM / W-CDMA / LTE / 5G NR), SRD 433/868MHz, VHF, and more.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform RF testing on various wireless products to meet test standards such as ETSI and FCC.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements or defined test plans.
  • Accurately record test results using electronic logbook systems and produce test reports.
  • Work with customers during attended testing and provide close liaison with the Project Manager.
  • Develop test methods and other departmental documentation.
Requirements:
  • Education to Level 3 in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum/network analyser, oscilloscope, signal generator, RF power meter, etc.
  • Good understanding of analogue and digital communications technologies.
  • IT proficiency with ability to use bespoke software and Microsoft packages.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow concise processes.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
  • Flexible approach to work with ability to work overtime, shift-work, or on customer sites when required.
