About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Operations Specialist to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our laboratory services, including specimen reception, testing and reporting.
In this dynamic and challenging role, you will work closely with our laboratory staff to maintain high standards of patient care, safety and quality. You will be responsible for managing laboratory supplies, equipment and consumables, as well as coordinating the flow of specimens through the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- To assist in the analysis of pathology samples by preparation of instrumentation, reagents and pathological samples.
- To take an active role in the materials management of the department, receipting, storing and stock controlling laboratory consumables.
- To take an active role in the flow of specimens through the laboratory.
- To assist in the coordination of work carried out by the laboratory.
- General laboratory duties as required by the laboratory manager or designated deputy.
As a Clinical Laboratory Operations Specialist with the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you can expect a competitive salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including:
