About the Role

Morrison Utility Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SHEQ Advisor to join our team. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of legislative compliance and promoting continuous improvement of Safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Teams in identifying solutions and options to overcome issues, delivering Toolbox Talks, safety briefings, and wellbeing campaigns.
  • Provide training and advice, encouraging the reporting of near misses through proactive engagement with Operatives and Supervisors.
  • Review risk assessments and method statements, verifying temporary works are implemented safely.
  • Conduct investigations of incidents and accidents, identifying root cause analysis and recommendations to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Assist in the identification of safety training needs for site-based personnel and bring these to the attention of the Regional Health and Safety Manager.
  • Cooperate with the Health and Safety Executive in connection with their site visits.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of the water industry.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, and an appropriate Construction Skills Card, with Streetworks and utilities experience.
  • Working knowledge of current UK Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
  • Current driving licence (essential for this role).
