Aerodrome Training Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to join our Aerodrome Training Team as a Team Lead. As a key member of our Training Department, you will be responsible for motivating, coaching, and developing a team of trainers to deliver excellent training interventions in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of trainers, managing internal quality assurance and continuous professional development to maximize productivity.
  • Deliver training resource plans, ensuring allocation of trainers with relevant skill sets, and influencing the team to consider alternative solutions using a test and learn philosophy.
  • Deliver all Aerodrome training modules for internal and external customers, effectively managing their needs to deliver commercial outcomes.
  • Influence internal and external customers to understand the importance of training, reducing non-completions, and ensuring compliance across the Airfield.
  • Ensure all training is audited and reported in line with current regulations.

Requirements

  • Line Manager and training planning experience.
  • Working knowledge of CAP 700 – Operational Safety Competences.
  • Working knowledge of CAP 642 – Airside Safety and CAP 790 Airside Driving.
  • Proven operational experience and working knowledge of the airside operations environment and procedures.
  • Highly effective organizational skills, able to manage own workload to deliver against deadlines and targets.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, confident to engage with senior managers and the regulator.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, able to give concise instructions to trainers and write up and feedback on IQA.
