About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Finance and Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team at Altus Education Partnership. This role is crucial in supporting the Head of Finance in managing the financial operations across our academies, ensuring compliance, timely financial processing, and contributing to the overall financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase Ledger Processing:
    • Supporting academy staff with ordering and budget management.
  • Finance System Management:
    • Updating supplier and bank details, preparing supplier payment runs, and managing staff expenses.
    • Posting journals and setting up sales accounts.
    • Assisting with month-end reconciliations and preparing financial reports.
    • Supporting the preparation of the annual budget and developing financial procedures.
    • Monitoring budgets and project costs, including capital projects.
    • Ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and controls are effective.
  • Banking:
    • Posting bank transactions and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
    • Managing online banking payments.
  • Procurement & Contract Management:
    • Ensuring procurement processes and contract management run smoothly, adhering to financial regulations.
