We are seeking a highly skilled University Assistant Professor in Neurolinguistics to join our team at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
About the RoleThis role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a distinctive intellectual programme in Linguistics and the Language Sciences at the Master's and PhD levels in your field of expertise. You will also be responsible for teaching undergraduate students and supervising small groups. Additionally, you will play an active role in the administration of the activities of TAL and the Faculty.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the delivery of a distinctive intellectual programme in Linguistics and the Language Sciences at the Master's and PhD levels.
- Teach undergraduate students and supervise small groups.
- Play an active role in the administration of the activities of TAL and the Faculty.
- A formal linguistics background and research using electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate issues such as bilingualism/multilingualism, neurodiversity, first and second language acquisition, and any area of core linguistics.
- Relevant teaching experience and the ability to demonstrate active, collegial engagement in research, teaching and outreach in Neurolinguistics.
- A fluent or near-fluent command of English.
