Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our Orthopaedic team at North Downs Hospital in Caterham. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role

In this key role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting surgical teams during orthopaedic procedures, including hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligament surgeries.

You will work closely with our experienced surgeons and medical staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional patient outcomes.

As a highly skilled professional, you will be committed to delivering outstanding clinical care and contributing to the hospital's excellent reputation for quality healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert scrub nursing services during orthopaedic surgeries.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth operation of theatres.
  • Support post-operative patient care and rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to health and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
  • Surgical scrub experience within orthopaedics, including but not limited to hip arthroplasty, knee arthroplasty, and anterior cruciate ligaments.
  • Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) desirable but not essential.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Flexible and positive attitude.

Salary

This is a competitive salary package, estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
