About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cake Decorating Apprentice to join our Bakery team at Giant Eagle.

Responsibilities
  • Develop product knowledge and procedures to ensure exceptional customer service and sales growth.
  • Apply merchandising principles to create visually appealing displays and drive sales.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to food safety and safety guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making product recommendations.
  • Prepare and decorate products for display, ensuring code dating procedures are followed.
  • Accurately record special orders and maintain department standards.
  • Assist in maintaining Bakery backroom, cooler, and freezer efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team.
Requirements
  • 0-6 months of experience in a related field.
  • No High School diploma required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • At least 18 years of age.
