Job Description

Grafters Recruit Ltd is seeking a skilled Class 1 driver to join their team. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country, utilizing a trunking depot-to-depot system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a Class 1 vehicle, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including hours of service and break regulations
  • Participate in regular assessments and training to maintain and improve driving skills
  • Meet the requirements for a valid C+E category on your driving license, held for at least one year
  • Hold a minimum of one year of driving experience and no more than six penalty points on your license
  • Be CPC qualified and hold a valid Digi Tacho Card
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rates, ranging from £14.28 to £23.64 per hour, depending on start time and day
  • Guaranteed minimum 9.5 hours per shift, with overtime paid after eight hours
  • Free on-site parking and easy access to work
  • Automatically enrolled in the company pension scheme after three months
  • Entitled to holiday pay
Requirements:
  • A positive, can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early starts, days, and nights
