Hospital Environment Maintainer
City Hospitals Independent Commercial Enterprises Ltd (CHoICE) is seeking a skilled Hospital Environment Maintainer to join their team. This role involves maintaining an acceptable standard of cleanliness in allocated areas, using correct cleaning methods, frequencies, materials, and equipment, adhering to National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all cleaning assigned, making full use of guidance and training given, and ensuring all necessary equipment/machinery is fit for purpose before use. Additionally, they will provide beverage services to patients and visitors as required, refill all dispensers, and provide emergency and ad-hoc cleaning as needed.

Apart from these duties, the candidate will be expected to collect, segregate, and dispose of waste materials, replace liners, and pack, sort, deliver, and collect linen. They will also undertake manual and mechanical cleaning activities in accordance with the cleaning schedule and ensure that all cleaning schedules are completed and checked on a daily basis.

Estimated Salary: £21,000 - £26,000 per annum

Candidates must have a good understanding of cleaning services, basic numeracy and literacy education, and the ability to accept and prioritize instructions. Previous experience working with cleaning machinery is desirable, as is the ability to work in a busy environment. A combination of bending, lifting, standing, and walking with frequent requirements for physical effort is essential.
