About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Risk Assessment Specialist to join our team at Canada Life Group (UK) Ltd (The). As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating sub-100 life corporate risks, ensuring that our underwriting metrics and guidelines are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate sub-100 life corporate risks, using set rules of allowable and adjusting as necessary to process quotations in line with agreed company and customer service standards.
  • Resolve customer queries and problems in a timely and efficient manner, identifying any customer notification of dissatisfaction and recording in line with our Regulatory complaint process.
  • Negotiate Canada Life's rates and terms with IFA's to improve our competitive position and maximise our opportunity to write and retain business.
  • Participate in the continuous review and improvement of our department's processes and procedures to ensure the provision of timely, accurate and efficient levels of service.
Requirements
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail to appropriately assess risk.
  • Ability to work in a customer deadline-driven environment, handling sensitive data appropriately.
  • Good Excel and data manipulation skills, with the ability to work as part of a team towards shared targets.
  • Excellent communication skills to support internal and external customers.
