Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team at Nova Artes Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive gas tasks across the South Coast and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance across our estate as directed by our Contract Manager, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards and within capabilities and training.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet required deadlines and contract performance standards, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Work flexible hours to suit business requirements, including being on call for out-of-hours emergency repairs and maintaining a safe working environment for yourself, end users, and the general public.
  • Escalate any issues to your Supervisor or Contract Manager immediately, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to our operations.
  • Liaise with site staff to gain access to sites and rooms to carry out maintenance tasks, and assist the Contract Supervisor in producing repair quotations.
  • Perform any other tasks required by the company within your skill set and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold domestic and commercial gas certifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, CODNCCO1, CDGA1, and CIGA1.
  • Have recognized Health & Safety training and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and operate SMART devices to complete electronic documentation.
  • Hold a full driving license and pass DBS/Police background checks for working in schools and police stations.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NVQ 2/3 in a relevant mechanical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • OFTEC registered technician or knowledge/experience working on oil-fired appliances/systems.
  • Unvented water systems and WRAS Qualification.
  • Electrical safety training and IPAF/PASMA qualification.
